| Sails for Haiti:
Cost:
Donate your old main or jib to be used as shelters for the thousands of people left homeless in Haiti. On Saturday May 8th and Saturday May 15th used sails will be collected at the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club and will be shipped by container to Haiti. |

USPS Basic Boating Class:
Cost: $75.00 Beginning May 5th, our Squadron will be teaching the USPS Basic Boating Class. The instructors are Tom Claggett and Gary Raphael. This is a great course for new boaters or even experienced folks looking to brush up their on-the-water skills. Topics covered include boat types and terminology, rules of the road, boat handling, emergencies at sea, and marlinspike. Class meets every Wednesday at Sheridan Shore Yacht Club, 20 Harbor Drive, Wilmette from 7:30pm to 9:30pm. It runs for eight weeks. The cost is $75.00 for the first family member and $50.00 for each additional member of the family.
